Dental Hygienist Excels in Clinical Care and Also Co-Authors a Book
Pangyo Choi Yong-hoon Dental Clinic announces that one of its hygienists co-authored a book with top Korean hygienists, and reflects on why aligned team values matter in tooth-preservation care.

I'm so excited about this that I'm sharing it while still working on another post.
Everyone wants to work with talented, capable staff.
This is especially true for me, since the path I'm taking differs greatly from that of a typical dental clinic.
Finding experienced people is hard enough,
and honestly, I sometimes feel that finding staff whose philosophy and values truly match mine is too much to hope for.
But they say where there's a will, there's a way.
I now work with a team member who has extensive overseas experience and whose values align well with mine.
They work hard at the clinic, and on their own time, they co-authored a book with some of the top dental hygienists in Korea.
Looking a bit embarrassed, they handed me a copy of the book, autographed as one of its authors...
The truth is, I hadn't helped with it at all, and I honestly hadn't realized they were taking on something this big,
so I was both grateful and deeply moved.

In an age when information is easy to find and just as easy to forget,
I know how much effort and time goes into writing a book,
I myself wrote a replantation textbook more than ten years ago, and I've been meaning to publish an updated edition,
but I keep hesitating because I'm busy and it's a lot of work.
It was a day that taught me a great deal.
Providing good, high-quality care is not something I can do alone.
Skilled techniques and know-how matter, of course,
but what matters most is having team members who understand the values of tooth preservation and share its philosophy.
I'm working hard to hire the right people and to treat them in a way that reflects their true worth.
I had planned to post about a tooth-preservation case from this year, 2025, but I decided to share this news first as an urgent update.
