I mainly focus on two areas:

rescuing badly damaged teeth through replantation, and treating deep cavities without root canal therapy or crowns.

Easier said than done, treating a deep cavity without root canal therapy is very difficult.

Even after a hard-won treatment, if the tooth still hurts, it's painful for both the patient and me.

So here are six ways I reduce pain after cavity treatment.

Treat only one tooth at a time

No matter how damaged your teeth are, it's best to treat just one tooth at a time. This improves the quality of the treatment.

It also helps you judge whether this dentist is a good match for you,

and whether this treatment approach suits you.

In terms of time and cost too, I recommend treating only the one tooth that truly needs it.

2. Minimize tooth reduction

It's the most basic principle of treatment. Tooth removal must be reduced by any means possible.

3. Get painless anesthesia (at every stage)

If pain occurs during treatment, I can't carry out all six methods described here. And severe pain felt during the procedure

may not go away after treatment and can keep bothering you. In medical terms, this is called atypical odontalgia.

4. Use a rubber dam

Whenever possible, it's best to use a rubber dam.

5. Perform air polishing

Before bonding ceramic or resin, air polishing should be done to clean the tooth surface. A complete bond helps reduce pain after treatment.

6. Plasma shower on dentin

Teeth feel pain because of exposed dentin, so it's best to apply a plasma shower to the dentin exposed by tooth preparation to calm the tooth as much as possible.

I left out points like using good materials and the dentist's experience and skill, since they're too obvious to mention.

That's all.

In Korea, implants are the default treatment.

Saving a tooth without root canal therapy is not a simple or easy procedure.

Also, once a tooth passes a certain threshold of damage, it can no longer be saved.

Cases with multiple missing teeth or multiple loose teeth are difficult to treat with the tooth-preservation approach I use.

I recommend thoroughly reviewing my blog and YouTube channel to see whether your case applies.
